Director's Message

Dear Families,

Bitty Bucks Preschool extends a warm welcome to our district’s youngest learners and their families! This is going to be such an exciting year of learning, exploring, and making new little friends!

Our preschool facility is now complete with every aspect designed to meet the unique needs of young children.  We are committed to provide an exceptional early childhood experience where children feel safe and nurtured while developing a sense of curiosity and lifelong love of learning.

A couple of important notes ~

  • The Early Childhood Center playground is complete (and we are certain you will hear stories about this fun part of your child’s day!)  Thank you for making sure your child is wearing “playground-friendly” shoes to preschool.  Sandals and flip flops get in the way of playground activity and may lead to injuries.
  • Parking is now available at the Early Childhood Center door.  Please park and enter through this door when bringing or picking up your child from preschool.  You may notice older students being “dropped off” or “picked up” along the sidewalk.  However, because we want to promote strong family connections and safety, preschool parents/guardians will deliver & sign-in their child at his or her classroom door.  At the end of the day, preschool children will need to be picked & signed out by their parent/guardian.
  • We are delighted that our fourth preschool classroom is ready to go for the 2021-2022 school year!  Our enrollment increased significantly since last year.  In fact, approximately 65 children will attend Bitty Bucks Preschool!  Yay!!
  • We hope to offer some family events throughout the year.  Last spring’s family survey indicated that parents would like to be more involved. Suggestions like “Donuts with Dad”, “Muffins with Mom”, Grandparent’ Day, and other visits would be enjoyed by many families.  So, please stay tuned – more information will be shared soon!
  • Bitty Bucks Preschool provides “Family Style Dining “ for our children attending the full day program.  We appreciate your support of this practice by not sending a lunch with your child to preschool.  It is important that all of our children have the opportunity to explore new foods while developing language, fine motor, and self-help skills.
  • As you have probably heard, breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge for the 2021-2022 school year for Ohio schools.  Additionally, a healthy morning and afternoon snack is provided for all preschool children.

We look forward to seeing you at the OPEN HOUSE scheduled on Monday, August 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm!  This event will give you and your child an opportunity to become more familiar with teachers, classrooms, and other preschool families.  You are welcome to drop off your child’s school supplies during your visit.

Please know your questions and thoughts are always important to us at Buckeye Central and Bitty Bucks Preschool!  Please feel free to reach out at any time!

For our children,

Diane Ervin
